Ready by 6 and Morristown Hamblen Central Services Car Seat Program
The Rotary Club of Morristown A.M. partnered with Morristown Fire Department, 911 and Morristown Hamblen Ready By 6 Council to provide access to car seats and training for vulnerable infant and early childhood parents.
Six organizations can recommend parents/guardians for car seats: Douglas Cherokee Head Start and Early Head Start, Hamblen County Health Department, Morristown Hamblen Central Services, Covenant Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System, Pregnancy Crisis Center and Tennessee Department of Children Services.
Defined requirements for receiving a car seats include: recommendation by one of the six agencies mentioned above, client registration including contact information and signing of training agreement and participation in a training class.
Car seat are distributed by Morristown Hamblen Central Services during training sessions.
The Car Seat program is every third Friday. 10 am is the the English class and 1pm is the Spanish class. For additional information on obtaining a car seat and training contact Morristown Hamblen Central Services at (423) 586 – 9431.
